We're seeking an experienced leader to manage the operations for our Indiana facility in cooperation with support functions to ensure company objectives are met.What You'll Be Doing: Formulate, recommend and implement policies, programs, systems and processes, to guide the Plant in maintaining and improving its competitive positions and the profitability of the operation. Direct and coordinate these activities in such a manner that new and existing products are manufactured on schedule within quality and cost objectives while emphasizing the respect and dignity of employees.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Others as assigned.Supervising Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees and carries out responsibilities in accordance with applicable laws and the organization's policies and procedures.
Ensure company objectives regarding processes, initiatives and projects are met following the company strategic planning, vision, mission and values. Champions safety, quality and continuous improvement programs.
Prepares and maintains cost controls for department budget.
Ensure that consistent communication takes place at all levels, informing of progress, problems and solutions.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Pro-actively lead by planning ahead, anticipating and solving problems; support and assist team members.
Other:
Manage resources and oversee manpower utilization.
Oversee new product launch to assure effective start-up of new products and improvements to existing products.
Directs activities for technical engineering and serves as a resource on projects.
Assist in the appropriate direction of requirements, installation and maintenance of all processing equipment used in manufacturing and the upkeep of plant grounds and facilities.
Works closely with Sales to ensure that the opportunities presented to the Plant for production match the existing or planned capabilities and capacity.
Visit customers and potential customers at their place of business as requested by sales to enhance relationships with customers and insure appropriate knowledge of customer needs and requirements.
Ensure that customers’ specific requirements are properly interpreted and analyze customer requirements and determine produce improvements and/or additions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience and training.
4-10 years related experience in manufacturing environment, including multiple departments such as production, warehouse/shipping and production scheduling/planning
Experience in people and project management
Computer skills – MS Office with strong Excel spreadsheet knowledge, experience with manufacturing enterprise software with ability to learn new software, including internal manufacturing software
Lean manufacturing experience
US Person as defined by ITAR & EAR
