
Structural Engineer

- Work with the Lead Structural Engineer to complete design tasks related to steel and concrete structures, building and equipment foundations, and wind and seismic lateral force resisting systems.
- Develop project-specific details and coordinate with other disciplines.
- Work with designers to develop drawing packages and structural calculations.
- Attend regular project coordination meetings and apply internal and client standard details.
- Ensure tasks are completed to meet project timelines and quality expectations.
- Interface directly with clients and vendors.
- Oversee the development of structural drawing packages and 3D models created in AutoCAD and Revit platforms.
- Independently oversee and execute projects of small size and moderate complexity.
- Perform duties for multiple ongoing projects.
- Review vendor drawings, shop drawings, and construction submittals.
- Participate in internal quality-control structural reviews of various projects within the office.
- Gather information from project sites, including field measurements, photographs, and document research.
- Aid in the development of construction scope-of-work documentation.
- Mentor junior engineers and engineering interns.
- Visit client sites to review and bid on projects, and develop client relationships.
- Manage multiple projects of varying sizes.
- PE or EIT
- Experience in structural engineering, structural concrete, and structural steel.
- Experience with industrial engineering, commercial construction, and infrastructure engineering.
- Proficiency in structural design, calculations, and analysis.
- Experience with current US building codes and reference standards.
- Substantial knowledge in concrete, steel, and masonry structures, including foundations and seismic analysis.
- Familiarity with OSHA standards, including lifting beams.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAADpro and Enercalc.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Teams.
- Ability to develop custom engineering tools using MS Excel and/or Mathcad.
- Experience using Bluebeam Revu and 3D environments such as AutoCAD and Revit.
- BS in Structural or Civil Engineering.
- Experience working on projects with other disciplines including piping, electrical, and process.
