
Exchange Engineer

- Responsible for monitoring and reaction to alerts with the primary focus of uptime and continued operations of the server environment.
- Serves as escalation point for on-call or ticket issues raised by external parties.
- Configures and administers messaging systems, creating Engineering defined standards, including management of application and associated systems.
- Troubleshoots performance issues and assists in root cause analysis including execution of problem resolutions and proactive tuning.
- Creates and manages scripts relating to automation of basic tasks to streamline operations.
- Collaborates with architects on ensuring that messaging system standards meet existing security, system, operation, and business desires.
- Works with and manages Exchange Online and Exchange On-premises in a Hybrid configuration.
- Works with and manages Proofpoint application servers to further secure our environment.
- Works with and manages Azure Active Directory (AAD) and its corresponding on-premises connector.
- Works with and manages Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS).
- Associate’s degree or two years of college in Information Technology (IT), or Information Systems (IS) from an accredited college or university or related experience required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Exchange Administration.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Automation via scripting languages.
- Working knowledge of business processes.
- Developing knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
- Working organizational and planning skills.
- Proficient in multi-tasking and collecting and analyzing data.
- Developing negotiation skills.
- Proficient in managing priorities/deadlines and problem-solving.
- Able to communicate and interact effectively via verbal and written communications.
- Able to work collaboratively and build relationships and be adaptable.
- Working Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Proficient knowledge of Windows Server Administration, Scripting (PowerShell or other), and Networking Concepts.
- Able to use basic office equipment, including copy machine, personal computer, and fax.
- Able to type 35 WPM.
- Able to travel locally or nationally by car or plane.
- Stand, stoop, and kneel to file for long periods of time.
- Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. of files, supplies, documents, or other related items.
