- Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of mechanical and electrical engineers within the Sustaining Engineering group
- Oversee technical functions related to both mechanical and electrical systems
- Lead and manage product improvement initiatives, cost reduction projects, and quality enhancements for legacy equipment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, field service, and product management teams
- Conduct and support root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for field and production issues
- Drive documentation updates including engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical manuals
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and internal design protocols
- Identify and implement standardization and optimization opportunities across product lines
- Support global engineering initiatives and continuous improvement projects
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
- 7+ years of relevant engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience—able to guide, motivate, and develop team members
- Strong design and CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with electrical systems and the ability to coordinate effectively with electrical engineering teams
- Experience with sustaining engineering, product lifecycle management, and continuous improvement
- Proficient in engineering tools and methodologies such as FMEA, DFMA, and RCA
- Excellent problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
- Hands-on, practical approach with comfort working on the shop floor as needed
