- Conduct comprehensive residential and vehicle inspections to ensure full compliance with MHA, HUD, DMH, DDS, and other applicable safety codes and standards.
- Serve as a key member of the MHA Safety Committee and Human Rights Committee, contributing to strategic initiatives to enhance safety and participant wellbeing.
- Act as Fire Safety Officer, ensuring all fire prevention systems (e.g., extinguishers, alarms) are regularly inspected, maintained, and documented.
- Monitor and track agency-wide compliance with safety policies, including the Hazardous Communication Plan, and assist with mandated inspections and quality audits.
- Support agency-wide fleet management, coordinating with vendors and maintaining up-to-date vehicle records using digital platforms.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical documentation, input data into Microsoft applications (including Excel), and generate timely reports as needed.
- Participate in and help lead safety and emergency preparedness training for staff across the organization.
- Identify potential hazards in the environment and communicate recommendations for resolution in a timely and professional manner.
- Review and support internal systems to ensure all inspection and quality assurance data are properly documented and meet regulatory and agency standards.
- Respond appropriately to any incidents involving participant safety, including reporting suspected abuse or neglect in accordance with agency protocols and state law.
- Build positive working relationships with internal teams and community partners to enhance collaboration and communication across programs.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Vice President of Quality & Professional Development to support agency initiatives.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Minimum of 3 months of experience working with health and safety regulations or compliance systems.
- CPR/First Aid Instructor certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate within a team.
