Oncology RN Job Details
- Location: Berlin, Vermont 05602 (Vermont nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Outpatient/Clinic Adult Hematology/Oncology Infusion Therapy
- Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Nursing Contract)
- Contract Duration: 16 weeks preferred; option to extend to 26 weeks
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts (Monday Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm)
- Weekly Hours: 40
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,100 - $2,250
- Patient Ratio: 1 RN: 4 patients
- EMR System: Epic (recent experience required)
- Orientation: Bi-weekly on Mondays, as needed
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience
- At least 2 years of hematology/oncology experience in an outpatient or clinic setting
- Chemo and Biotherapy certification (required for oncology nurse jobs)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (required for clinical support roles)
- Reliable personal or rental vehicle (public transportation not available)
- Vehicle must have all-season or snow tires from November to April
- Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy infusions to adult oncology patients
- Monitor patient responses and provide comprehensive supportive care
- Document all patient care accurately using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to deliver high-quality oncology care
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, symptom management, and follow-up care
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control standards in the clinical setting
