My client is seeking a hands-on engineer to join their growing team in Hicksville, NY. This professional will have a strong focus across Quality operations with specific responsibilities in quality systems, NCMR, and bringing new products to market. This is an excellent role for a well-rounded engineer seeking growth opportunities in their career.The key responsibilities of the Quality Engineer are:
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with industry and customer quality requirements (AS9100).
  • Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective/preventive actions (RCCA) using 8D, Fishbone, or similar methodologies.
  • Support internal and external audits, including NADCAP audits.
  • Develop and update inspection plans, work instructions, and quality procedures.
  • Perform and review first article inspections (FAI) to AS9102 standards.
  • Review and approve process and product certifications, test data, and material traceability.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Production to improve process capability and reduce non-conformances.
  • Assist in the management and reporting of key quality metrics (yield, scrap, customer complaints, etc.).
  • Train and support production personnel on quality standards and procedures.
  • Coordinate with metallurgical lab and inspection teams for product validation and release.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace quality role.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, and NADCAP requirements.
  • Proficient in using measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators) and GD&T interpretation.
  • Experience with FAI, SPC, FMEA, control plans, and CAPA processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MRP and quality management systems a plus.
