Description of Work UnitFounded in 1870, Colorado State University is among the nation's leading research universities and enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Colorado State University is Colorado's land grant institution and holds the Doctoral/Research University - Extensive classification from the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education. Affiliated with CSU's Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT Program and the Center for Family and Couple Therapy (CFCT) in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies, the CSU Trauma and Resilience Assessment Center (CTRAC) serves as a local, state, and regional trauma assessment center.
Position SummaryCTRAC conducts trauma assessments using a unique assessment model that seeks to understand the impact of trauma and to develop recommendations that are tailored to meet the needs of the client and family. This position will conduct trauma assessments when needed and will include all aspects of the assessment: receiving a referral, reviewing documentation, conducting collateral calls, conducting assessment protocol, writing and reviewing reports. This position may also conduct specialized trauma treatment when needed. The individual will be a part of the CSU Trauma and Resilience Assessment Team and will be available “as needed.”
Required Job QualificationsMust have a Masters and licensed or working toward licensure in Human Development and Family Studies - Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.

- Knowledge of and background in trauma-informed care.
- Clinical experience working with children.
- Experience conducting trauma assessments.
- Strong writing skills.
- Strong team player.
- Possess a working knowledge of systems theories.
- Spanish language fluency.
