In this role, you will be a pivotal player in driving revenue growth across West Virginia, West/Central PA, and East/Central Ohio, serving as the crucial link between our outside sales team and executive leadership. You will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight and mentorship of our sales personnel, ensuring they consistently meet and exceed targets through robust performance management, strategic territory analysis, and diligent sales forecasting.Sales Team Management and Accountability:· Oversee and manage outside sales personnel, ensuring they hit their sales targets.· Conduct annual reviews and quarterly conversations to assess performance, address challenges, and develop strategies for improvement.· Implement and monitor a "Strike Plan" for underperforming salespeople, including documented examples and improvement conversations.· Collaborate with leadership on compensation discussions.Territory Management:· Analyze sales territories to identify gaps in coverage and opportunities for growth.· Develop and execute strategies to maximize sales potential in underperforming areas.· Monitor market trends and adjust territory strategies accordingly.Sales Forecasting and Reporting:· Require annual sales planning sheets and monthly sales reports from the sales team.· Conduct measurable meetings to review sales activities, account performance, and pipeline.· Develop and streamline processes for efficient sales reporting.· Regularly review sales plans to ensure alignment with company goals.Meetings and Communication:· Lead weekly sales calls every Monday to review progress and upcoming opportunities.· Run L10 meetings and sales meetings, resetting scorecards and establishing new goals.· Hold post-quarter sales operating committee (Q-SOC) meetings to ensure alignment and foster a family-oriented culture.· Meet with internal leadership to ensure consistent communication and issue resolution.Quote Follow-up and Tracking:· Oversee and track quotes to ensure timely follow-up and conversion.· Receive copies of all sales opportunities and requests for product quotes.· Manage sales order quote follow-up sheets and track open opportunities.· Ensure engagement with product teams for seamless operations.Leadership and Coaching:· Act as a mentor and coach to the sales team, supporting individual growth and skill development.· Provide account support and maintain key customer relationships.· Facilitate training sessions to enhance sales and technical skills.· Encourage an open, positive team environment while holding individuals accountable.Revenue Growth and Strategy:· Drive revenue growth across assigned locations, including West Virginia, West/Central PA & East/Central Ohio.· Generate and implement new product ideas and market entry strategies (e.g., gearboxes, pumps, sensors, etc.).· Leverage partner capabilities and stay informed about seasonal sales opportunities.· Gather and utilize marketing material feedback from the sales team.· Develop and execute conference and territory strategies, consulting leadership before implementing changes.Qualifications:· Proven experience in sales leadership or management.· Strong analytical skills to assess territories, forecast sales, and track performance.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.· Ability to mentor, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.· Proficiency in sales reporting tools and CRM software.Physical Requirements:· Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time· Ability to lift, push, pull, carry items up to 25 lbs.Pay Range· HECO strives to ensure that employees are paid equitable and competitively.
