- Maintain, calibrate, service, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration and chillers such as centrifugal, screw compressors, and positive displacement compressors chillers.
- Analyze and interpret electrical diagrams and layers to effectively work with voltages of 24Vac, 120Vac, and 460Vac.
- Install, maintain, and repair walk-in coolers and walk-in freezers, ensuring temperature regulation and product preservation.
- Utilize advanced calculations such as superheat calculation and subcooling calculation to optimize refrigeration processes and system efficiency.
- Assist in root cause investigation and reliability-centered maintenance analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams including those outside of the maintenance organization.
- Create or edit maintenance job plans to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Operate and troubleshoot Beacon 2 smart controllers and IntelliGen systems manufactured by Heatcraft for optimal refrigeration performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide technical support and expertise in refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site.
- Perform advanced-level tasks in the core function and train others in these tasks.
- Adhere to AbbVie's code of conduct and ensure compliance with all safety and GMP regulations.
- Handle any additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.
- HS diploma with 10+ yrs. Experience or Relevant Certificate with 5+ yrs. experience or Associates technical degree with 3+ yrs. Experience, or proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
- CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired
- Demonstrate proficiency in comprehensive knowledge of water hydraulics, water flows, and water pumps for effective operation and maintenance of HVAC systems.
- Specialize in handling cryogenic temperatures, particularly in low-temperature cascade systems with expertise in temperatures as low as -80 degrees Celsius.
- Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (i.e. machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools)
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows)
