- Position Summary
- Multiple temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant Teaching positions at the Child Development Center.
- Start Date
- Positions available on or after August 18, 2025 and ending on or before May 31, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
- Job Description/Duties
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Arrive to work promptly.
- Demonstrate professionalism and maintain confidentiality.
- Supervise and manage children in care.
- Supervise and implement daily activities, curriculum and routines.
- Assist co-teachers in daily classroom preparation work and clean up of rooms.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with parents and other center staff.
- Establish a supportive and nurturing relationships with children and families. treat children in a positive manner that encourages individuality and positive self- esteem.
- Maintain knowledge of all growing regulations and ensure all health and safety protocols.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred to have a minimum of 15 Child Development Units.
- Valid pediatric CPR and First Aid Certificate.
- Previous work experience at a child care center.
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
- Salary Range
- $16.50 per hour.
