This dynamic position plays a key role in transforming the student's educational journey through compelling content, digital engagement, and knowledge sharing, all while contributing to a culture of inclusivity, innovation, and results.You will collaborate across teams to implement strategies that highlight student success stories, promote program initiatives, and expand the visibility and impact of the AANAPISI Program. This includes leveraging social media, digital marketing, and educational materials to reach diverse audiences and foster a supportive academic environment.Nature of Work:The ANNAPISI Project is seeking a 12-month Professional Temporary to work as the Digital Engagement Specialist under the Content Creation and Knowledge Dissemination AANAPISI grant pillars. Professional Temporaries must demonstrate discretion, analytical skill, personal accountability, and responsibility across various academic, administrative, managerial, and student services functions. The position is limited to 9 months of continuous employment, with a 4-month break, or 9 months of employment within any 12-month period.The overall nature of work for the Digital Engagement Specialist within the CU Denver AANAPISI Program is centered on creating, managing, and disseminating digital content, as well as fostering engagement to empower and support Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AA and NHPI) students. This role is both strategic and hands-on, emphasizing collaboration and innovation to promote the success of the program and its community.The requisite skills and attributes encompass robust interpersonal and communication skills, capacity for maintaining confidentiality, analytical thinking, personal accountability, and adaptability. The work milieu operates within a dynamic academic setting, necessitating collaboration with faculty, staff, and other student services professionals. The position is particularly impactful as it not only raises awareness and visibility of AANAPISI’s mission but also actively cultivates an inclusive academic environment, ultimately supporting student retention, academic progress, and a sense of belonging among AA and NHPI students.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Content Creation & Digital Engagemento Create, curate, and manage engaging written, visual, and multimedia content (copy, photography, video) for the AANAPISI Program’s digital platforms.o Build and update website pages, monitor website and social media analytics, and ensure content aligns with strategic goals and university branding.o Develop and maintain a publication schedule for social media and digital campaigns.o Collaborate on social media campaigns and day-to-day activities, including online advocacy, writing/proofing copy, image curation, and design.o Identify and purchase potential digital assets (photography/audio/video), maintaining an organized repository.Community & Reputation Managemento Engage with students, staff, and partners across platforms, responding thoughtfully to questions, comments, and feedback.o Monitor sentiment and reputation of the program through real-time engagement and regular reporting.o Organize and facilitate workshops, webinars, and events for students, faculty, and staff.Data & Analysiso Collect and analyze data to understand AA and NHPI student experiences, challenges, and achievements.o Create and analyze online forms, assist in program evaluation, and contribute insights for program improvement and grant proposals.o Track and analyze digital engagement, reporting on performance metrics to optimize strategies.Strategic Communication & Knowledge Sharingo Craft clear educational and marketing materials to promote AANAPISI initiatives, student support services, and academic programs.o Ensure inclusive, accurate, and impactful communication in all materials produced.o Contribute to curriculum materials and participate in the preparation of scholarly articles.Project & Asset Managemento Manage projects and deadlines independently and in collaboration with team members to meet program goals.o Proofread strategic documents and proposals.o Maintain records of project actions, deliverables, and learning for team knowledge transfer.Work Location:Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule on campus and as needed for in-person meetings, collaboration, and AA and NHPI events.Why Join Us:The University of Colorado Denver is the state’s premier public urban research university and equity-serving institution.
