- Create and design plastic components and products, ensuring strength, flexibility, durability, and overall performance
- Utilize CAD software to develop detailed product models and simulations
- Select appropriate plastic materials for applications, balancing cost, environmental impact, and performance requirements
- Develop and refine manufacturing processes such as injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs
- Conduct quality assurance testing to identify defects or inconsistencies and ensure compliance with specifications
- Support research and development of new materials to meet evolving industry needs and environmental standards
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in the production process, implementing corrective actions to improve product quality and process reliability
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate plastic solutions into pipeline systems
- Document results, processes, and specifications for accuracy and future improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field (advanced degree a plus)
- Proficiency with CAD software for product modeling and design
- Strong technical background in polymer science, plastics processing, and material testing
- Experience with injection molding, extrusion, and other plastics manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of pipeline or industrial plastics preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting and process optimization
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
