
Bridge Design-Senior Engineer

- Participate, lead, and review designs for a variety of bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects, assuming responsibility for design plans and calculations.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team. Must have good communication skills and a solutions-based approach.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of bridge design projects, from concept to construction, while ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, provide design recommendations, and address any concerns or questions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supervise staff as necessary to complete assignments.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; master’s degree preferred.
- Professional engineer (P.E.) license is required; structural engineer (S.E.) certification preferred.
- At least 10+ years of experience in bridge design, including 2 years at the Project Manager/EOR level.
- Experience working with DOTs and/or municipalities.
- Proven experience with AASHTO LRFD bridge design and DOT design guidelines.
- Proficiency in industry-standard structural analysis and bridge design software.
- Demonstrated success in managing preliminary and final design, preparation of construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates, as well as project scheduling and subcontractor management.
