This person shall possess strong electrical, controls or mechanical skills.Responsibilities- Identify and manage spare parts inventory- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.- Perform hands on skills including, but not limited to; mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.- Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, drawings, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • [X] years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the paper, pulp, or heavy industrial sector.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in electrical systems, including motors, controls, and PLCs (e.g., Rockwell Automation, Siemens).
  • Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
