TITLE: Dedicated Building Substitute (Full Time) - 2 Openings at Lincoln MiddlePOSITION OVERVIEW:Portland Public Schools has two Dedicated Building Substitute openings available for the 2025-2026 school year at Lincoln Middle School. Assigned specifically to Lincoln for the entire year, the Dedicated Substitute is onsite daily and able to fill in as needed, assisting with daily classroom functions, implementing lesson plans, and monitoring and supporting students. At times, the Dedicated Substitute may be assigned to the same classroom for multiple days. The Dedicated Substitute plays an essential role in providing continuity and consistency for the students at their assigned school. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for those who are passionate about helping students reach their full potential.EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

  • Pay = $28.42 / hr (standard 7-hour day) -- rate to be updated at the start of the school year
  • Eligible for $500 / month toward a PPS medical benefits plan -- rate to increase at the start of the school year
  • Earned Paid Leave (EPL) provisions as per Maine law
