- Direct, mentor, and manage the Housekeeping Team including managers, supervisors, room attendants, public area attendants, housepersons, and laundry staff
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and develop the housekeeping team to ensure a motivated and efficient team
- Ensure all guest rooms and public areas meet the highest luxury cleanliness standards
- Develop and implement SOPs for cleaning procedures, quality control, and safety
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms, public areas, and back-of-house to ensure brand standards are consistently met
- Manage daily schedules, staffing levels, and shift coverage to ensure efficient operation
- Proactively address guest concerns and requests related to housekeeping services, ensuring prompt and thoughtful resolution
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards as per local regulations and Fairmont standards & guidelines
- Implement safety training programs and enforce the use of PPE and safe chemical handling procedures
- Ensure adherence to sustainability and environmental programs in waste reduction and linen reuse
- Oversee procurement, inventory, and proper usage of housekeeping supplies, chemicals, linens, and equipment
- Maintain linen and amenity par levels and oversee vendor relationships for laundry and housekeeping supplies
- Prepare and manage the department’s operating budget, ensuring cost control
- Perform all other related duties, as required
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred
- Minimum 5–7 years of housekeeping leadership experience, preferably in a luxury environment
- Proven ability to lead large teams and maintain the highest level of service standards
- Proficiency in hotel management systems
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
