- Conduct root cause corrective actions for equipment containing electronics and software.
- Perform PCB board bring-up according to circuit design.
- Create PCB board level functional test procedures for circuit functional blocks.
- Conduct electronics hardware testing to ensure requirements are met and generate test reports (DVTR).
- Perform SPICE analysis of circuits using Altium/OrCAD PSPICE tools.
- Analyze and design magnetics for EMI filter, boost/buck inductors, and other input/output filters.
- Provide inputs to PCB layout design.
- Independently find or create solutions to problems requiring research, resourcefulness, and creativity.
- Understand, follow, and promote company policies and procedures.
- Utilize sound technical problem-solving skills to own or support ongoing and new products.
- Apply sound engineering principles to ensure designs meet airworthiness standards and customer requirements.
- Present technical findings and trade studies.
- Navigate through various groups such as engineering, industrialization, and operations within the company.
- Interface with existing suppliers and OEM customers, and potentially new ones.
- Expertise in power electronics and electrical testing.
- Experience in designing and testing power electronics.
- Hands-on experience with board-level design and root cause investigation.
- Knowledge of electronic hardware design and instrumentation issues.
- Proficiency in simulation tools like ICE and PCB design exposure such as Altium.
- Exposure to DO-160 testing.
- Experience in component selection and obsolescence management.
- Ability to assess and create standard work and lead or support improvement projects.
- Capability to review, check, and approve work done by peers and lower-level engineers.
- Experience in leading a team for small/medium-sized projects.
- Ability to perform research and/or testing for new development.
- Skill in reviewing, processing, and recommending engineering changes.
- Experience in providing guidance and training to lower-level engineers.
- Ability to create design verification test procedures (DVTP) documents.
- Experience in performing worst-case load analysis (DC Load Analysis) on circuit designs.
- Skill in performing component derating and thermal analysis.
- Ability to perform design performance margin analysis.
- Experience in creating hardware design documents covering design analysis, notes, and guidelines.
- Ability to perform analysis and MATLAB/Simulink modeling to generate control algorithms.
- Experience in circuit design and schematic capture using Altium/OrCAD tools.
- Skill in analyzing customer requirements and validating them through analysis/modeling/prototyping.
- Ability to create and maintain hardware requirements specification and hardware interface control documents.
