- Provides leadership and supervision for programs and services.
- Supports the agency's mission, goals and objectives and clinical philosophy.\
- Ensures all staff performs in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Follows agency standards for ethical clinical and business standards.
- Conducts self as a positive role model for staff at all times.
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
- Provide leadership and direction to the clinical team ensuring the delivery of high-quality mental health services in accordance with evidence-based practices.
- Develop and implement policies, and protocols to maintain and enhance clinical standards.
- Directly supervise and mentor clinical staff, providing guidance, feedback, and support.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, identify professional development opportunities, and ensure staff compliance with relevant training requirements.
- Develop and manage the annual budget for the group home's operational needs, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
- Monitor expenses, analyze financial reports, and collaborate with administrative staff to make informed budgetary decisions.
- Stay current on federal, state, and local regulations governing mental health services in forensic settings.
- Ensure the group home's compliance with all applicable licensing and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to design, implement, and evaluation therapeutic programs that meet the unique needs of the residents.
- Monitor program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
- Identify and address potential risks related to clinical services, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, support staff and any external providers.
- Act as a liaison between the clinical team and upper management, providing regular updates on the program performance.
- Implement quality assurance measures to assess and enhance the effectiveness of clinical services.
- Develop and maintain a system of monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators.
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
- Credentialed as Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) minimum of 3 years
- Extensive experience in a mental health or forensic setting with a strong background in clinical supervision.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices in forensic mental health.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Experience as a supervisor, budgeting, crisis intervention, assessment, and service planning.
- Master's degree in a relevant mental health field (ie: Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counseling).Licensed eligible or certification in the applicable discipline.
- Ability to understand agency billing and reimbursement regulations such as Medicaid, Medicare and HUD
- Ability to respond to stressful and crisis situation in a calm and professional manner
- Demonstrate knowledge of computer skills to include Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point and on-line clinical and administrative systems
- Ability to maintain harmonious working relationships while addressing complex and sensitive administrative and clinical issues
