Work Type: In PersonJob Summary:We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a well-established manufacturing company located in Blaine, MN. As a Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling parts and machinery according to blueprints and specifications using various hand and power tools.Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble machinery components at a bench or workstation or directly on the shop floor
- Position and align parts based on knowledge or using blueprints and layout diagrams
- Fasten parts using bolts, screws, rivets, clips, and other standard fasteners
- Perform minor metal fitting using hand files and scrapers for precision assembly
- Operate drill presses, punch presses, riveters, and other mechanical devices during assembly
- Conduct inspections and functional tests on completed assemblies to ensure quality and compliance
- Use hand and power tools effectively and safely to perform job duties
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1â3 months of mechanical assembly experience or related training preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with engines, oil changes, small engine repairs, or automotive assembly is a plus
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, torque wrenches, drills, and other power tools
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with a collaborative team
- Must be comfortable using mechanical equipment and tools
- Fast-paced, hands-on, and safety-conscious workplace
- Regularly required to lift and move up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, twist, bend, crouch, pull, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
