Job Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist provides evaluation, planning, and implementation of speech therapy services for patients to facilitate the rehabilitation and/or development of speech, language, cognition and oral motor disorders. The person in this position serves as an educational coordinator for patients on the rehabilitation service. He/she shall also provide supervision to the rehab aide, staff speech language pathologists, speech language pathology fellows, interns and students. This person shall also provide leadership to the speech staff and assist the therapy management coordinators with speech therapy clinical competencies, program development, coordination of services and daily operations within the Division of Pediatric Rehabilitation.Position Requirements:
Licensure: Valid licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist by the Speech Language Pathology and Audiology Board of California. Current BLS.
Experience: 3-5 years experience minimum. Experience in rehabilitation, pediatrics and acute hospital setting. Experience with non-verbal communication including augmentative communication systems.
Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills, time management, problem solving and self-initiation skills. Concise and effective communicationPhysical Requirements:

Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hrs
