All while understanding that together we are even better.Schedule: Full Time - 7:30am - 6pm - Staggered 8-hour ShiftsShift: DaysLocation: 1035 RED BUD RD NE, Calhoun, 30701The role youll contribute:The Medical Assistant, under general supervision, provides appropriate care to patients as well as follows AdventHealth service standards. This includes safely and effectively greeting patients, obtaining clinical information, financial and demographic information. Responsible for assisting providers during treatment and examination and may assist with procedures and medication administration as ordered by the provider. Performs office duties as needed; which includes but is not limited to, verifying insurance, collecting copays and scheduling necessary appointments.The value youll bring to the team:
  • Assist with screenings per physician orders and enters all information accurately and at the time of service or results
  • Performs clinical intake according to AHMG policy and procedures
  • May be responsible for assisting with minor procedures associated with specialty
  • May be required to travel as needed to fulfill staffing needs
  • Must maintain education requirements for position and demonstrate competency, as required
  • Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patient and equipment for the needed treatment and initiates testing and documents results into the practices designated system when appropriate.
The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:Minimum qualifications:1 years of practical medical assisting experience AND one of the medical assistant certifications listed below:Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)through CMS recognized certification organization such the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or American Medical Technologists (AMT)RequiredBasic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)RequiredPreferred qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
