Summary
Manage inventory and distribution of tools for machine operators. Inspects cleaned wax patterns for assembly readiness.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintains tool functionality, calibration specifications, and safe condition by performing frequent inspections of tools and equipment for wear, defects, or damage.
  • Orders new tools and equipment or repairs tools as needed.
  • Receives new tools into the organization and schedules preventive maintenance on the equipment.
  • Keeps inventory of tools by tracking and the distribution of tools and end users in a database or applicable system.
  • Completes setup karts.
  • Grind and repair tools
  • Maintains workplace organization.
  • Performs fixturing and make sure is done according to established parameters.
  • Lead projects in the tool crib
  • Maintains a clean, orderly and safe work area.
  • Performs all essential duties of the wax patterns prep/core prep operation as required.
  • Uses correct tools and supplies to remove defects from patterns, preparing them for the assembly operation
  • Meets the established quality and time requirements following standard work.
  • Inspects wax patterns to ensure that they have been properly cleaned and are ready for assembly.
  • Uses stick-tight and other adhesive substances as required when attaching parts together during assembly process.
  • Repairs imperfections as advised by supervisor, team leader or wax inspector.
  • Completes all necessary paperwork to include signing off the part router.
  • Informs supervisor, team leader or cell support when work is completed
  • Performs other duties as requested
Qualifications:Knowledge: Understanding of inventory control processes, including tracking and maintaining tool locations. Familiarity with various hand tools and operator equipment. Knowledge of scheduling and coordination maintenance activities. Proficiency in using computer systems to manage inventory records.Abilities: Capability to keep accurate records and maintain an organized inventory system. Ability to plan and schedule repair and maintenance activities efficiently. Ensuring precision in tracking tool locations and inventory transactions.Skills: Skill in using applicable tooling equipment. Competence in maintaining detailed and accurate records. Ability to use software for inventory management and transactions. One to three years of relevant experience in a similar role.Physical Demands:Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
