The Laborer operates a jackhammer, shovel asphalt and performs laborer duties behind an asphalt paver.Pay: $20-24/hrShift/Schedule: Day Shift with Occasional Nights and WeekendsBenefits

ResponsibilitiesThe Laborer will:
Prep grade for paving crew (i.e., run jack hammer, clean pavement, or check grade)
Shovel asphalt for patching and or paving crew
Communicate with office and field personnel
Inspect grade and elevations correctly
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Roll asphalt mat once it is laid and ensure that no marks or creases will be left in pavement
Aid in cleaning up the site and removing any unneeded items
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
SkillsThe ideal candidate will have:
Basic Mechanical aptitude
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and ability to push, pull, and/or pry
Ability to sit, stand or walk for an extended period of time and work in an environment with noise and temperature variations
Work outside for an extended period of time and ability to work at elevated heights
Ability to read, write and speak English
Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle
