Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PMWhat You’ll DoAs a Packaging Operator, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring safe, accurate, and compliant packaging and handling of chemical products. Responsibilities include:
- Receiving, inspecting, and labeling incoming materials
- Operating walk-behind tow motors, pallet jacks, and related equipment
- Portioning and packaging chemicals (e.g., amino acids) according to SOPs and batch record instructions
- Performing material testing, QC sampling, inspections, and documentation following GDP and ALCOA standards
- Boxing, palletizing, and loading finished goods for shipment
- Maintaining accurate SAP transactions and records
- Supporting safety culture by identifying hazards, reporting deviations, and ensuring PPE compliance
- Keeping work areas clean and organized in line with 5S and housekeeping standards
- Assisting with process improvements related to safety, quality, and efficiency
- Prior chemical handling experience
- Attention to detail and adherence to SOPs
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a production environment
- Previous warehouse or production experience
- Experience as a lead, quality control, or similar role
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems
- Lift and/or move up to 50 lbs independently (more with assistance)
- Stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to wear required PPE, including a full-face respirator
- Post-offer visual acuity and hearing tests
- Standard physical exam based on job duties
- Operation of forklifts and respirator use required
- Regular exposure to chemicals – PPE provided
