The ideal candidate for this position will be proficient in all aspects of test engineering, troubleshooting and be comfortable coordinating with cross fictional team members and external business partners.Essential Functions:Serve as a Test Engineer in all phases of testing in support of development, integration, fielding and operational support of various flight test instrumentation systems and shipboard systems. Responsibilities will include:
  • Test, investigate failures, troubleshoot, and repair program unique circuit card assemblies
  • Perform test activities including writing test procedures, test planning, test conduct and test reporting
  • Troubleshoot and resolve test issues
  • Document and monitor test results
  • Analyze and select individual components and materials to meet system requirements
  • Identify and interface with suppliers for components and materials
  • Interface with the other engineering disciplines and cross functional teams to insure proper coordination of project, product, and system requirements
  • Work with external business partners to document and maintain Coordinated Interface requirements and Shipyard Installation Test Program (SITP) requirements
  • Work with other engineers to develop installation and checkout procedures for flight test instrumentation and shipboard systems
  • Contribute to and present during customer reviews
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
  • 4+ years of direct experience as a Test Engineer
Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Familiarity with various testing techniques
  • Knowledge of quality standards and regulations
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and cabling diagrams
