The company was founded on May 29, 1933 and is headquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.Job SummaryWe are seeking a Strategy Specialist to join the Strategy, BD & Market Impact Division of the LTC Business & Project Development Department. The Strategy, BD & Market Impact Division is responsible for four main areas: Strategy & Business Development, Market Intelligence, Economical & Financial analysis, and general program support. The Strategy Specialist primary role is to review the strategy and critically comment on the strategic implications of the external business environment on the strategy & business results. Collect and analyze the shareholder expectations, macro-economic and market trends, market research data for Downstream petrochemicals and actual business performance. Scan the competitive landscape to find opportunities of expansion and business development. The candidate will also coordinate the development of new strategy, provide analytical support and facilitate strategic decision-making.Responsibilities:
  • Act as a "Strategy Advisor" for the Liquid to Chemical program and related issues, providing strategic and process-related insights to the LTC Business & Project Development Department.
  • Provide commercial and technical expertise in executing the downstream strategy, including evaluating strategic options, identifying tradeoffs, and developing implementation plans.
  • Play a leading role in the development and updates of the LTC's Strategy in collaboration with other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across various business and support lines.
  • Generate and propose strategic options to management, supported by appropriate analysis.
  • Initiate, organize, and oversee management-approved studies and investigations related to planning and program implementation.
  • Provide expert support to the concerned division to ensure the success of projects.
  • Mentor, train, and develop young professionals in the field.
Requirements:
  • This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related specialty.
  • An MBA or a relevant advanced degree is strongly preferred.
  • Have a minimum of 15 years of experience in strategy development, strategic planning, and scenario planning within the oil and gas and petrochemicals industry.
  • Possess a combination of technical, operational, commercial, and strategic experience, which is highly desirable.
