We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our team and help deliver on our mission of hope and recovery.Position Purpose:The CORS (Community Outreach and Recovery Support) staff work with individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD) and other SUDs (substance use disorders) experiencing homelessness or housing instability and at risk of overdose, medical complications, and incarceration. CORS services are to be delivered by peer support workers (PSWs) or persons with lived experiences (PLEs) within the community. Staff actively engage individuals in the community during street outreach efforts at locations such as encampments, public libraries, shelters, food pantries, day labor sites, and other places where people experiencing homelessness or housing instability may be found.Job Requirements:
  • GED or high school diploma
Qualifications:
  • Valid driver's license
  • One year of mental health experience preferred, not required
  • Skilled in behavioral management techniques
  • Peer support experience or certification/Person with lived experience
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide outreach and engagement services to possible eligible clients.
  • Identify and provide referrals to facilitate person’s linkage to medical and behavioral health services
  • Interact with other providers of homeless services in the community
  • Identify and address gaps in the service provision.
  • Complete all necessary documentation within established timeframes
  • Participate in Quality Improvement as assigned.
  • Participate in all required workshops/seminars and attend all mandated training.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
  • Serve as a role model and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing the agency.
Job Type: Full-timePay:
  • Starting pay HS/GED - $18.43/hr.
  • Starting pay Associates - $19.37/hr.
  • Starting pay Bachelors - $20.25/hr.
Schedule: 8 hour shifts
  • Shift: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Up to two evenings per month will be required for outreach in the community with other partners.
