- Lead the implementation of Camp Kudzu's strategic plan with a strong focus on growth in program participation and geographic reach.
- Identify new program opportunities and models to increase access and engagement with underserved communities affected by T1D.
- Develop and execute multi-year growth strategies to increase organizational impact, visibility, and capacity.
- Lead and grow a comprehensive development program, including individual giving, major gifts, special events, corporate sponsorships, and foundation grants.
- Serve as chief fundraiser and relationship manager for high-capacity donors and key philanthropic partners, working in tandem with the VP of Development.
- Oversee all development efforts and fundraising campaigns, including Camp Kudzu's signature events, ensuring financial success and community engagement.
- Cultivate relationships with healthcare providers, school systems, T1D networks, and community organizations to build referral pathways and collaborative initiatives.
- Serve as a passionate and visible spokesperson for Camp Kudzu across Georgia and position the organization as a Southeast region.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in volunteer leadership, staffing, programming and partnerships.
- Provide strategic and collaborative leadership to a talented and mission-driven staff.
- Ensure operational excellence, including financial management, program delivery, and organizational infrastructure.
- Partner with the Board of Directors to set clear priorities, ensure strong governance and mobilize volunteer leadership to effectively achieve strategic priorities.
- Guide the development of strong brand awareness and marketing strategies to attract campers, families, donors, and partners.
- Engage in public speaking, media outreach, and advocacy efforts to raise awareness about type 1 diabetes and Camp Kudzu's mission to educate, empower, and inspire the 8,000 families living with T1D in Georgia.
- Proven success in nonprofit leadership, preferably in youth development, health-related services, or mission-aligned fields.
- Collaborative leadership style and a track record of building high-performing teams and positive organizational culture.
- Demonstrated experience scaling programs, growing participation, and building new network or community partnerships.
- Track record of success in fundraising, including major gifts, special events, and capital campaign leadership.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong financial acumen and organizational management experience.
- A passion for serving children, youth, and families affected by chronic health conditions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to turn vision into action.
- Ability to navigate complexities of managing multiple overlapping priorities (Programming, Education, Community Engagement) and lead growth through change and expansion.
- Familiarity with T1D and other chronic health conditions, or camp-based program model is a plus.
