The employee in this position will be responsible for receiving stock, recording information about product, preparing it for shipment and driving a Non-CDL delivery vehicle to the end user. Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds is required. Work environment includes warehouse areas with periods of continual standing or walking. The ability to read and understand information/ideas presented in writing is required. Scanner, computer and inventory control experience, forklift experience are a plus.Job Functions (Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements): The primary duties consist of (but are not limited to) the following:
  • Follow safety rules and work procedures.
  • Receive and count stock items, and record data by scanner, manually or using computer.
  • Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms and warehouse.
  • Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, or other labeling equipment.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors
  • Drives truck (non-CDL) to transport materials to and from specified destinations by applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads.
  • Operate a forklift to load/unload truck when necessary
