
Maintenance Manager

- Ensure the facility, layout and machinery run to their maximum efficiency and output
- Total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Managing maintenance supervisors, leads and technicians
- Preparing budgetary/cost reporting for maintenance
- Delegate any maintenance issues to be resolved on each shift and small projects to the right skills in the team, planning and managing effective works
- Develop and manage a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule that ensures full preventative maintenance is carried out, plan in missed maintenance activities, and lead the team to deliver effectively
- Track work orders and maintenance requests through CMMS
- Manage systems, equipment, data storage while maintaining a high level of standards and accuracy
- Oversee that all training and development is up-to-date for all maintenance team members
- Identify business improvement opportunities within the organization
- Audit and ensure compliance of the engineering data systems
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
- Provide technical expertise to the team
- Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
- Schedule both internal and external work maximizing planned down time and reducing unplanned downtime
- Prepare the annual maintenance budget, forecast all capital expenditure proposals as well as ensuring compliance with legal standards
- Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects
- Optimize equipment according to standard procedure while enhancing performance and product quality; guaranteeing the achievement of all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Develop clear accountability for maintenance material spend combined with a strategy to manage expenditure
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial management, production operations management or equivalent related experience
- Extensive plant level experience with proven 3 - 5 years in OSB manufacturing or other heavy manufacturing
- 1 – 3 years of Managerial experience as supervisor or higher - Wood industry preferred
- Ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
- Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain
- Proactive, enthusiastic, demonstrate effective leadership skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong teams
- Possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
