Job Description:The HVAC Technician is responsible for performing maintenance services and repairs in the areas of HVAC systems, plumbing, carpentry, plastering, machine servicing, and electrical.Duties and Responsibilities
PLC systems for HVAC
HVAC System repairs / upgrades
Maintain Freon usage Log
Ventilation system installations & maintenance
Gas distribution line install / maintenance
Machine repair
Troubleshoot and correct setups, tooling and malfunctions
Operate the personnel lifts
Operate forklifts
Perform repairs and adaptions of equipment, such as; changing air, grease and coolant lines, switches, belts, guards
Fabricate miscellaneous items out of wood, metal and Plexiglas
Build or fabricate labels, devices, etc. to improve quality and production
Use hand and power tools
Move equipment
Plumbing, welding, construction of metal/wood, brazing, soldering, maintenance and inventory supply check in / out using CMMS system
Lookup MRO parts using CMMS system, if not available provide all relevant information to clerk, engineer or manager for prompt order of repair parts and rebuild machines as required
All non-routine machine maintenance and upkeep machines as required
Evaluate / repair / replace electrical motors and component
Wire machines
Install new equipment to meet all production needs
Basic PLC maintenance
Adhere to all safety requirements in the work area
Practice 5Ss
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and blueprints
Certified fork lift operator
Welding
Industrial electricity/wiring
ARI EPA Certification for purchase / use of Freon
Education and Experience Requirements
40 semester hours of industrial trade training or 5 years HVAC experience
