Alarm Dispatcher (Lafayette, LA)Full Time12 Hour Shifts With Rotating On/Off ScheduleJob Summary:
  • Verifies and dispatches the proper authorities for residential and commercial alarm customers.
Job Functions:
  • Handles incoming alarm calls and dispatches the proper authorities for residential and commercial alarm customers
  • Answers phone calls from end users and dealers
  • Answers incoming phone calls and takes messages for dealers and end users
  • Handles special projects and dealer/end user issues specifically requested by the alarm manager
  • Works with computer alarm automation software to efficiently handle alarms
  • Contacts individuals to inform them of alarm-related issues
  • Assists the alarm center any time there is a natural disaster or other emergencies
Qualifications:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform the essential functions of the job: * High School diploma or GED
  • Must be PC literate with some familiarity with MS Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
