Med/Surg RN Job Details Luray, VA
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $1860 - $2210
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)
- Location: Luray, Virginia (zip 22835) Shenandoah Valley
- Healthcare Setting: 25-bed Medical/Surgical unit
- Shifts: Primarily night shift (6:45pm 7:15am, 3x12 hour shifts/week); occasional day shifts as needed
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Weekend/Holiday: Every other to every third weekend; holiday coverage required (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
- EMR System: Epic (required)
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or Compact State
- BLS certification (AHA required)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg RN experience
- Proficiency with Epic EMR system
- Flexibility to float to other units as needed
- Ability to work both night and occasional day shifts
- Provide high-quality nursing care to a primarily geriatric patient population
- Manage a patient ratio of 1:6 on a 25-bed Med/Surg unit
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR
- Float to other hospital units as required
- Uphold professional nursing standards and facility policies, including dress code
