- Learn to analyze blueprints, schematics and drawings of network, fire, security and/or other related electrical systems
- Learn to install electronic security products such as cameras, NVRS, DVRS, access control, intercoms, gate operators, fire alarm systems, and networks
- Learn to install EMT and rigid conduit
- Learn to inspect electrical, security, fire and networking systems and their components for possible repairs or maintenance
- Install electrical system components as assigned (i.e. panels, audible/visual alarms, pull stations, detectors, switches, cameras, servers, card readers, etc.)
- Assist with preparing written materials to document activities and/or convey information
- Remain detail oriented and methodical when troubleshooting
- Work patiently and maintain positive communication with customers
- Respond to emergency situations as needed
- No experience necessary
- Demonstrated interest or experience in electronic security solutions preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to recognize colors
- Basic low voltage knowledge preferred
- Ability to read blueprints desired
- Ability to use a variety of basic hand and power tools
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively and professionally communicate with co-workers and customers
- Must be dependable, trustworthy, and possess a positive and productive attitude
- Possess a basic working knowledge of personal computers
- Ability to work independently and with co-workers
- Walk, crawl, talk, see, read, hear, feel, sit, stand, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, grasp and climb with both hands and legs for extended periods of time
- Lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
- Climb at heights of 300’+ for extended periods of time
- Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
