All within a 'living laboratory' of groundbreaking, research-driven clinical solutions that integrate mind, body and spirit in the defeat of illness and diseaseThe role youll contribute:The Clinical Nurse Education Facilitator (CNEF) is an expert clinician, highly skilled in nursing practice that will be responsible for fostering a collaborative learning relationship with nurses to build depth of practice from advanced beginner levels to expert clinicians; promoting self-direction, critical thinking, critical reflection, and life-long learning to adapt quickly to changing clinical environments and escalating patient care needs. The CNEF will use a student-centered approach, built on the foundation of trust and respect to promote transformation of skill and knowledge into a continuum of clinical growth.The action of facilitation is not merely coordination or provision of resources or efforts to make things easier; rather it is a goal-oriented dynamic process in which the CNEF and student/participant work together in an atmosphere of mutual respect to learn through critical reflection and critical thinking. Facilitation is a complex, multifaceted process of dissemination of knowledge and enabling the implementation of evidence into practice.The CNEF will spend most of their time within clinical areas working alongside the nurses teaching direct patient skills, linking theory with practice and decision making. The CNEF is actively involved in the professional development for nursing staff including the identification and development of strategies to facilitate a continuous process of lifelong learning, role transition, role integration, skill acquisition and mastery as learners advance from advanced beginner to expert. The CNF will work collaboratively with the unit leadership team, educator, and physician team to expand nursing staffs basic skills, theory, and practice to support the complex patient needs.The value youll bring to the team:

  • Fosters active learning nursing tasks by supporting nurses to take responsibility for their growth
  • Demonstrates use of assessment with open ended questions promoting discovery and inquiry leading to a higher level of knowledge and thinking
  • Develops goal-oriented plans and timelines for each nurse based on performance, knowledge/skills assessment, observation, and feedback from unit educator/leadership team:
  • Provides concurrent evaluations to student, educator, and leadership team.
  • Develops and communicates adjustment of plans based on assessment
  • Provides feedback using a variety of facilitation skills including:
  • Actively involves the nurse in assessment and feedback
  • Uses questions to provide opportunities for critical reflection and critical thinking
  • Documents feedback process and integrates changes in learning plan.
  • Collaborates with the unit leadership team, educator, and physician team to identify nurses as a part of the growth program (once completed initial orientation program).
  • Integrates documentation requirements as a required competency:
  • Completes documentation audits including feedback and facilitates active remediation to correct gaps.
  • Include regulatory and clinical outcome focus as a part of the documentation review.
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.Effective oral and written communication skills: strong interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills.Demonstrates leadership and clinical practice knowledge.Knowledge of nursing care methods and proceduresAbility to work as a Team player within a unitUnit Specific Competencies as determined by the Unit LeadershipBachelor of Science (BSN) or Master of Science (MSN) degree3 years clinical experience in specialty unitCurrent valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered NurseBasic Life Support (BLS) certification*ACLS certification, per specialty This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
