Preference will be given to candidates who have approved public safety dispatch certification.
Preference will be given to candidates who have good communication and people skills.
Preference will be given to candidates who have attention to detail, good memory retention, familiarity with computers, and strong typing ability.KNOWLEDGE:Knowledge of officer safety procedures and protocol.Knowledge of Wyoming's highway system, geography, topography, city, county, and state multi-jurisdictional boundaries, and the computerized mapping system.Knowledge of the course of action required for managing hazardous material incidents concerning the response and relay of information for man-made and natural disasters. Interpret information from the Chemical Transportation Center and hazardous material guides.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Experience:0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Dispatch) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Highway Patrol Dispatcher IEducation:
