DescriptionSr Mgr. of Business Development PRExamples of Duties(Title changed from Executive Assistant) Under administrative direction, is responsible for planning, managing, developing work rules, training, coordinating, and administering all activities and personnel of such staff positions as administration, citizen participation, research, and finance, and manages such personnel as are assigned to specific functions in the performance of the necessary duties. Performs other job-related duties as required.Minimum QualificationsA High School Diploma or GED is required. A Bachelor's Degree is required. Four years of full time paid management or administrative experience is required. (Substitution: Two years of experience may substitute for each year of college education lacking. A valid State of Ohio Driver's License is required.Supplemental InformationTypical Duties:
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to exceed revenue and meet customer growth targets
  • Act as a change agent to drive continuous improvement through project management and lean methodologies
  • Lead, mentor and manage a team of sales and project managers to achieve performance goals and foster professional development.
  • Establish and track KPI's to evaluate sales performance, identify trends, and implement refined strategies.
  • Oversee daily operations and administrative functions of the sales teams, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, including the top 100 accounts, to drive growth and enhance loyalty.
  • Negotiate and manage customer contracts to ensure alignment with business objectives and maximize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver tailored energy solutions.
  • Present sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior leadership, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making.
  • Represent the company in sales discussions with potential and existing customers to promote the brand and drive acquisition.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, including engineering, customer care, and operations, to streamline workflows and expedite requests.
  • Collaborate on reviews, reports, studies, and documentation necessary to acquire and onboard new customers.
Additional Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • PMP certification and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification is highly preferred.
  • Over five (5) years of progressive leadership experience in business development management, with demonstrated success in utility or competitive markets while successfully leading cross-functional teams is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement sales strategies, consistently achieving and exceeding revenues targets is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar contracts is highly preferred.
  • Strong background in leading change management initiatives are highly preferred.
  • Expertise developing and documenting processes and procedures are highly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills are highly preferred.
  • Applied knowledge with Microsoft applications including Project, Visio, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint are preferred.
  • Experience in work order management systems such as Cityworks is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) techniques and software such as ArcGIS are preferred.
  • Knowledge of government procurement regulations, policies and procedures are preferred.
