Summary:Milgard Manufacturing is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Production Assemblers to join our growing team here in Tacoma Wa. You will play a crucial role in the manufacturing of high-quality windows and doors. You will be responsible for assembling various components, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting.The hourly rate starts at $22.00. You will work second shift and will be paid a shift differential of $2.00 hourly.MITER Brands, also known as Milgard, MI Windows & Doors and PGT Innovations, is one of the nation’s largest suppliers of vinyl windows and patio doors, with plants across the country.Responsibilities:
  • Assemble vinyl window and door components according to work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Work in our Fiberglass window and or door department.
  • Operate hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, screw guns) to cut, fasten, and assemble parts.
  • Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing or assembly is a plus but not required. We are willing to train motivated individuals.
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and blueprints (training provided).
  • Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
