
Mechanical Exciter Service Technician

- Perform exciter phasing, disassembly, refurbishment, reassembly, and vibration motor fittings per manufacturing procedures
- Build and test equipment using FAT Methods
- Use engineering drawings and identify parts
- Maintain and operate mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools
- Conduct preventative maintenance on tools and workshop equipment
- Manage the Exciter Refurbishment Program, participate in annual stock takes, and support spare part logistics
- Assist with screening and crushing equipment inventory
- Provide on-site technical assistance for installation, diagnostics, and repair and provide product improvement feedback
- Support customers with parts interpretation, stock recommendations, and deliver product training and troubleshooting guidance
- Adhere to all safe work procedures and safety regulations
- Participate in audits, safety meetings, incident investigations, and LEAN workshops
- Maintain clean and organized workspace and workshop areas
- Identify and report hazards and suggest safer work methods proactively
- Support and engage in on-going improvement and innovative efforts
- Must have a 2-year Technical Diploma in Mechanical Discipline
- Must have a valid Trade Qualification - Mechanical or Hydraulic Fitter
- Must have a minimum 4 years of hands-on technical experience
- Must have experience with workshop or production environment, preferably in mining equipment
- A Forklift High Risk Work License and Basic Rigging High Risk License are preferred, along with experience with precision measuring instruments and diagnostic tools
- Spanish or French speaking is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude while paying attention to detail is required
- Must have effective communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
- Microsoft Office experience along with knowledge of maintenance systems is needed
- Must have strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and training capabilities
- Must be flexible, self-motivated, and committed to safety and quality
- Must have the ability to adhere to all company values, safety, operational policies
- Must be able to travel within USA, Canada, and international travel for training may be required
