
Principal Manufacturing Engineer (Onsite)

- Design and modify small cell or simple assembly lines within plant facilities to ensure the most efficient and productive layout.
- Design the sequence of larger and more complex operations and installations and specify procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other processes, including disassembly/assembly and repairs, to ensure efficiency and optimize performance.
- Design and implement complex manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control to ensure compliance and effective production.
- Monitor and ensure mandatory modifications, programs, and bulletins are incorporated or complied with, as required by the customer and the applicable regulatory requirements, to ensure legal compliance and adherence to quality standards.
- Identify opportunities and implement changes, on a need basis, to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts to optimize productivity and ensure optimal use of resources.
- Audit manufacturability of existing products, and recommend modifications or adaptations to address quality, customer, product, or productivity constraints.
- Play a key role in the mentorship and growth of junior engineers.
- Assist in managing the work list for the team. Managing the project portfolio for the team, and being a key decision make on the efficacy and priority of different engineering efforts.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
- 8 + years’ experience as a manufacturing or industrial engineer.
- Proficiency in SAP.
- Ability to remain focused under pressure to assess and resolve manufacturing challenges.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks
- Proven ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate early, and concisely with individuals at all organizational levels
