The Finance Business & Operations Analyst's role is to execute critical business analysis and financial plans for the plant and business operations and for the manufacturing and marketing leaders of our business. The analysis must be accurate and timely with adequate options and sensitivity to drive key business and financial decisions.The holder of this position prepares monthly journal entries from worksheets, maintains daily records for inventory elements, performs monthly reconciliations related to inventory and cost accounting.Responsibilities
  • Actively participates in executing and reporting progress against both tactical and strategic direction for the operation including financial and non-financial metrics.
  • Assist in developing monthly forecast and annual operating plan for location.
  • Provides financial analysis and alternative for marketing on setting prices and driving the richest product mix for the location
  • Maintain financial and cost control systems to provide accurate and timely information.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation between Oracle and the AS400 system and prepare adjusting journal entries to book to the general ledger.
  • Incumbent supports preparation of the company's Self-Assessment Tool.
  • Prepares monthly journal entries from worksheets, maintains daily records for inventory elements, performs monthly reconciliations related to inventory and cost accounting.
  • Perform metal receiving functions along with maintain accurate daily records for all metal receipts to reconcile the activity to inventory reporting and billings and book the necessary journal entries to record the metal receipt activity, which includes the appropriate cost variances (purchase price variances) for this activity.
  • Participates in the budgeting and reporting process.
  • Assists with the accounting and management of fixed assets.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Finance or Accounting from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years' experience in finance or accounting.
  • Computer skills (software programs including Word, Excel and Access) and practical knowledge of calculators.
  • Understanding of computerized reporting systems, query tools, and internal control.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
