Essential functions and responsibilities
Develop Project Management Plans (PMP) for assigned projects
Provide construction management oversight during all phases of the project
Create and maintain project schedules
Prepare and update cost estimates and prepare and maintain project budgets
Assist in performing constructability reviews
Prepare correspondences and formal WMATA responses to the contractor as it relates to submitted Notice of Impact, change in directives, claim merits, non-compliance notices, etc.
Develop and implement project specific QA programs
Prepare and submit monthly progress reports and prepare meeting minutes and distribute to attendees no later than one (1) week after the meeting
Manage sub-consultants and technical resources
Coordinate and interface with the client and project team
Maintain full familiarity with plans, specifications, construction schedules, and contractor's plans on assigned contracts, the Project Management Plan (PMP), and current safety regulations in order to be knowledgeable of the project team
Provide subject matter expertise and support development of design and construction contract documents (including solicitation documents). Development of bridging documents, proposal evaluations, and award recommendations as needed
Provide technical analysis and review of all requests for changes submitted by the design consultant and/or construction contractor
Assign other technical and administrative personnel appropriate for the scope and general level of effort required to meet the performance commitments
Prepare, monitor and update schedules and budgets
Review and approve contractor invoicing
Prepare client invoices
Participate in client presentations
Coordinate and assist Section Heads, Office Managers, and Service Line Leaders with marketing proposals
Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of team

Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, architectural or a related field from an accredited engineering, construction management or architectural program
15+ years’ experience in a construction related discipline
Registered Professional Engineer in VA, MD, or DC
Experience with Microsoft 365® including Power BI, and Procore
Preferred Experience
CCM or PMP certificate
LEED AP
OSHA Certifications
Experience working with city, county state or federal governmental agencies
Project management and business development experience
Experience with various project delivery methods i.e. Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3
Experience managing multidiscipline project teams
Working ConditionsWork is performed in both an office and field (construction) environment. Office to field time is approximately 25% to 75% respectively. Field work requires climbing, walking and standing at a construction site and may be outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
