SUMMARY: The Avionic Technician II must demonstrate high mechanical aptitude and will inspect, service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul aircraft components while maintaining a safe work environment and following all company and federal rules/ regulations.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, modify and service aircraft avionics/accessories/oxygen equipment.Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as requiredAdhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements for factory, shop and/or hangar positionsComply with environmental health and safety policies and proceduresParticipate in 5-S activitiesPerform all assigned tasks in a safe and timely mannerOperate ground support equipment as requiredAssist with mechanical / electrical removals and installationsAssist with maintenance at off-site locations as neededAssist with other maintenance disciplines as neededOther duties as assigned.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree4+ year of relevant/technical work experience OR
An additional 3 years of specific work experience in lieu of degree.
The ability to teardown, inspection, parts requisition, assembly, testing, troubleshooting, repair, and overhaul of aircraft accessory/avionic/oxygen units to the component level.Ability to read and understand electrical engineering drawingsAbility to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft statusMust be computer literate, and proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel).PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:Master’s degree7+ years of specific work experienceStrong knowledge of avionic componentsStrong knowledge of accessory componentsStrong knowledge of oxygen componentsDigital selector panelsFCC General Radio Telephone licenseOTHER:The selected applicant will be subject to a background check and drug testing.
