Mentorship and training opportunities are offered throughout the year.Job Summary: Jones & Henry has an opening for a full time Civil Engineer that will begin their career in the field as a Resident Project Representative (RPR).The Details:
The Resident Project Representative (RPR) observes and reviews assigned construction projects for compliance with engineering plans and specifications.
  • Collect, maintain and organize construction documentation
  • Travel to construction project sites to review worksite compliance with engineering plans and specifications
  • Maintain strong client relationships as a company’s representative on the project site
  • Maintain strong relationships and communication with contractors and subcontractors
  • Verify design plan accuracy in the field
  • Consult with Contractors and Engineers regarding construction practices, construction reports, and engineering designs
  • Review changes in construction and materials specifications due to developments occurring during project construction with the Project Manager or Project Engineer
The Qualifications:
  • Bachelors of Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum at a four-year college.
  • Knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, procedures and principles
  • Ability to deal with abstract concepts during actual construction
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical specifications and literature with construction personnel
  • Ability and experience in communicating technical matters relating to the project to the Project Manager and/or Contractors both orally and in writing
