The Principal Consultant, Strategic Decision Support (Operations), is a trusted advisor with expertise in data analysis, business intelligence, and strategic consulting. This role drives decision-making by providing actionable insights and clarifying complex operational issues. Focus areas include supply chain, patient throughput, resource allocation, queuing theory, and capacity management to optimize business processes using statistical and simulation models.Responsibilities:Serve as a strategic advisor to executive clients, coaching and influencing decisions with insight-driven recommendationsStructure ill-defined problems and develop analytic models, frameworks, and solutions that address immediate and future organizational challengesLead projects end-to-end, ensuring alignment with business objectives and high-value outcomesCollaborate across teams, fostering a high-functioning, transparent, and supportive environmentCommunicate complex analyses clearly through compelling visualizations, reports, and presentations to senior stakeholdersEnsure accuracy, reliability, and completeness of work products, applying continuous improvement principlesMentor colleagues and build a culture of feedback, learning, and innovationTechnical Skills:Proficiency in data analysis and visualization toolsExperience with operations systems, statistical software (SAS, R, Python), simulation software (Arena, SIMUL8), and optimization tools (CPLEX, Gurobi)Knowledge of healthcare application systems (e.g., Epic) and relevant data model certifications preferredAdditional certifications such as Lean Six Sigma are a plusEducation & Experience:Bachelors degree in Business, Statistics, IT, Healthcare Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field (Required)7+ years of progressive experience in data analysis, strategy development, and stakeholder engagement, preferably in healthcare or academic settingsMasters degree in a relevant field preferred
