- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
- Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns with tact, sensitivity, diplomacy, and discretion.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills to develop working relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of faculty, staff, campus administrators, students, and professionals throughout and outside of the University, both verbally and in writing.
- Skill to manage multiple calendars and scheduling requests and to anticipate and coordinate all preparatory arrangements for meetings, seminars, conferences, and events.
- Solid organizational skills and ability to successfully handle multiple projects with demanding timeframes and frequent interruptions.
- Demonstrated ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions.
- Skill to analyze situations, interpret data, define problems, identify relevant factors, anticipate possible outcomes, and formulate logical conclusions.
- Proven ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision.
- Skill in performing financial accounting transactions, purchasing, tracking and resolving budget expenditures.
- Working knowledge of personal computers and proficiency utilizing standard software programs and information technology.
- Working knowledge of University procurement and accounting policies and procedures as they relate to high value, low value, purchasing, UCI Corporate Card, PALCard, CTS Card, and KFS.
