
Maintenance Mechanic - Swing or Graveyard Shift - $2,000.00 Sign On Bonus

- Install, assemble, and test new and existing production machinery and equipment; understand and comply with workplace safety regulations.
- Monitor, identify, and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery such as changes in performance, temperature fluctuations, sounds, smells, or atypical energy usage; perform troubleshooting for production machinery.
- Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic; identify and replace worn or damaged parts promptly.
- Understanding and experience in preventive maintenance.
- Maintain machinery and the adjacent workplace in a state of appropriate cleanliness; create and maintain a schedule for inspection, service, and testing of machinery.
- Usage of a CMMS to schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
- Read and comply with work orders concerning service, modification, or installation of machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and equipment manuals.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. routinely / frequently and be able to sit, stand, climb, or walk for 10 hours.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and maintain equipment and records.
- Strong team/verbal/written skills are required. Demonstrated ability to be a team player.
- Able to work in a loud environment.
- Must be available to work any shift.
- This position is responsible for following all Food Safety and Quality requirements as outlined in Darigold’s Good Manufacturing Policy, in conformance with the position’s Standard Operating Procedures, and in accordance with facility training sessions and materials. The position is also required to report any concerns that may impact Food Safety or Quality to their immediate supervisor, the Plant Quality Manager, or the Plant Manager.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite and applications, ability to utilize electronic communication effectively.
- Experience troubleshooting industrial PLC-controlled equipment, including process control instrumentation.
- Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience preferred.
- Formal education in a related field – prefer an associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or engineering, a plus.
