As our newest Roadway Engineer, you'll become part of our employee-owned organization where your creativity and expertise will shape the pathways of tomorrow.B&N Roadway Engineer Responsibilities:
  • Perform engineering design and production of roadway projects for public agencies including Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), Maricopa County, and others. ADOT project experience is preferred.
  • Prepare construction document deliverables including plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Maintain quality control of the work products and successfully complete projects on time and within budget
  • Collaborate with professional engineers within B&N's Arizona operations and across the firm
  • Create an exemplary client experience throughout project delivery
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring for developing staff
  • Participate in strategic business planning for our Arizona operations, development of client relationship assignments, and assessment of new business opportunities
  • Represent B&N in meetings
  • Monitor project performance indicators, including schedules and budgets
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering programs
  • PE registration in the State of Arizona required or the ability to obtain through reciprocity
  • Minimum 4 years of related experience
  • Proven project delivery with strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to evolving client, project, and industry needs
  • Ability to work remotely based on business operations and the needs of the firm
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with CADD software (i.e. OpenRoads Designer) expected for work with Arizona public agencies
