
Housekeeping Inspector

- Ensure all cleaning equipment is in proper working condition and make arrangements for repairs as needed
- Monitor all the daily operations of the housekeeping department, including the cleanliness of all guest rooms and public areas daily
- Order cleaning supplies as needed, control inventory and manage the department budget
- Document areas cleaned by room attendants and report any issues such as room damage or maintenance requests to the front office
- Hire and train housekeeping staff to perform cleaning duties and deliver customer satisfaction to our expectations
- Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and service areas to ensure compliance with Marriott cleanliness standards.
- Ensure all rooms are cleaned to the highest standards, checking for attention to detail, including bedding, flooring, surfaces, and bathroom sanitation.
- Verify the presence of in-room amenities, including toiletries, hair dryer, and terry, ensuring that all items are stocked and neatly arranged.
- Address and correct any deficiencies or inconsistencies in room cleanliness, reporting any maintenance or housekeeping issues to the appropriate team member.
- Assist with housekeeping duties when necessary, including cleaning rooms, restocking supplies, and responding to guest requests
- Work closely with housekeepers, providing feedback and restraining when necessary to maintain our high standards.
- Prepare rooms for VIP or special requests, ensuring every detail meets guest expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of room inspections and communication with the housekeeping supervisor.
- Ensure all safety, cleanliness, and sanitation standards are strictly enforced.
- Report any damaged or broken items to maintenance and follow up to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner.
- Assist periodically with deep-cleaning projects, such as carpets, curtains, and upholstery.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in housekeeping management as an executive housekeeper, housekeeping director, or other similar position
- This position requires a high school diploma or GED
- Extensive knowledge of environmental services (EVS), including detailed cleaning processes and a wide range of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Applicants should be excellent leaders, detail-oriented, and demonstrate a commitment to customer service
- Over 2 years of experience in guest services or hospitality
